This intricate process starts with the leather, closely examining each individual hide, making sure there are no imperfections. After the leather is cut, all edges are buffed, polished and painted by hand. When the product begins to come together, finer details such as stitching are inspected to ensure quality construction. Upon completion, we perform a final inspection to certify the Frank Clegg signature of approval.

It's unique scale pattern and durability makes it a great material for leather goods. We choose to use a matte finish for alligator which highlights its characteristics and delivers a more natural look to the leather. All the alligator we use has been sourced from a tannery that works directly with hunters to make sure the correct protocols have been followed in obtaining the skins.
